Hi Guys,
Not that much new news to report this month as we've all been busy studying for up-coming exams. With the exception of Peter (lucky you)..
Beside the studying, my dear PC decided to act up and give me a BIOS error on boot-up. This has prevented me from getting some serious work done this month on MOH. The problem has since been resolved thanks to Dale & Alec at our local PC shop. Thanks guys!
I can tell you though that Mappack 5 is coming along nicely (even if it is at a snails pace) I've re-done one or two minor things to aid with the flow of game-play. Also one or two maps are currently only designed for "objective" play and so I've been busy converting those over for DM/TDM. It can take some time to do, so perhaps that is why things are on a "go-slow" mode.
It will be ready in the next 2 to 3 weeks because I can't see it having any major problems. After that, we can play test it to confirm all the bugs are eliminated.
I've also been in touch with TopTiger who as many of you know is the author of some great maps, namely Bombed Village for one. It is one of our all time favourite maps, if not thee favourite. He's given me some secret info regarding some new things he's working on, as well as some advice on new developments. All will be explained at a later date as I get the info from him.
Some of you have asked about the new snowy versions of Stalingrad, Remagen, Bombed Village and The Siege. All I can say at the minute is that they are all still under development and Remagan is perhaps the one I'll complete first, with the others to follow. So, on that score....don't think they've been stopped or scrapped. I love snowy maps more than anything else, so these will be completed and added to our future mappacks.
They'll also be just like the originals, except with snow of course. I can't see why I should alter the map design when they play perfectly well.
I may submit these to Mohfiles for servers to host as well, don't know yet- I'll see how they turn out first.
And that's about it guys for this month. Sorry about the lack of news, but as I say, PC problems and studying has taken over most of this past month.
Any questions or comments then do get in touch with me.
