Hi,
I know that Phyllis has already spoken on here about the mod "Base Builder" But I wanted to add to what she's already said (hope you don't mind Phil?) The mod itself has sparked off alot of debates in modding circles after it was stolen from it's creator's web-site. Since it has now been released, one or two server's are already hosting it. But it isn't "bug-free"! Oh no!! Many people complain of lag when joining servers and have very high pings- sometimes too high to move (999 ping isn't uncommon) So that needs addressing by the admins. Another fault is the amount of maps available for the mod. Officially there is only 7, Stalingrad, V2 & Snowy Park being unsuitable. As you can clearly see- these are just AA maps. I think in time more and more admins will adapt SH & BT maps to the rotation, but have to bear in mind the issue with the lag. Just for LAN only, I've started to modify "Stadt" to run in the mod- early trials look good, with the rest of the Railways approving of new maps. If all goes well and in time the mod is vastly improved, who knows- perhaps with new maps this could be a mod to host on our servers in the future.
Kind Regards,
-Bobbie-
