Hi Guys,
You know that we are working on our own little route for MSTS. I thought it would be a good idea to make a forum post about how it's developing. This really is something that we will have to learn from the beginning, because I have no idea how we are going to go about it all. So the aim of this post is to show you how we progress through this massive learning curve and....what comes out of it all at the end. Lots and lots of things to learn.
What we do know and what we have decided on is this, so far........
Firstly, the route will be fictitious - done simply for us to have fun on.
Secondly......it will be set around the steam period....and only steam.
Thirdly......it will be in winter. Night and day will both feature snow. Depending on how we go obout it we'll try and incorporate the Christmas period as well - the lights, trees, sounds etc. But that is a long way into the future.
So it's fictional - the era of steam - and set in the cold bleak winter.
Here's a few ideas of what I mean,
It'll be a working railway full of life with many different types of wagons incorporated. Below is an example of what I mean. Try and picture some of these in snow textures as well.

Just a few examples there of how I'm hoping it'll turn out.
