Hey Guys, This is a must read for anyone going to install MSTS on their PC. This is the only way in which it needs to be done. 1/ Install both disks of MSTS onto your drive (think of how much space you'll have left when doing this) Pick a drive with loads of free space for the Add-ons. 2/ Install the patch known as trainupdate.exe (refered to as 1.4) 3/ Install sd40-2_content_update.exe4/ Install class50_content_update.exe5a/ (optional) Install Toolsupdate.exe (good for modelers/mappers etc) 5b/ (optional) Install Basic_Fixes_MSTS1_Setup - fixes a few errors. 5c/ (optional) Install AW_GUI_newDriverAids_MSTS1_Setup - allows for see-through driver aids on your screen. 5d/ (optional) Install tsintrfc-setup - Allows you to see more of the trains/consists etc you have installed when picking your routes. Very handy to have installed. 6/ Restart your PC (very important at this stage) 7/ Install the latest MSTS bin (the most stable is usually best) Go to mstsbin.uktrainsim.com/eng/eng.html and click downloads - right at the bottom of the page click the middle download and install it. MSTS Bin is a sort of unofficial patch that most Add-on developers use and like you to have it installed.8/ Install any add-ons you have. Be careful to check for any updates (patches) that may be available. Also look at your add-ons carefully. Some do follow on and need to be installed in the correct order. 9/ Play your game - and have fun.............. Easy
